Saturday Morning I woke up before the sun. I met my sister Adele and her bridesmaids at 6:30 to go for a PRE WEDDING RUN!
I had made SPECIAL shirts just for the occasion
We ran 3 miles and headed back
I WISH I HAD RUNNING BUDDIES! Best run in a long time!
We took turns getting our hair and make up done.
THEN IT WAS TIME
She looked GORGEOUS! She was shaking and nervous but it didn’t show.
The bridesmaids headed over and Adele and my parents headed over to the church in a horse and buggy. I later found out she cried the whole way to the church
Then the ceremony BEGAN promptly at 2pm.
Before we knew it, THEY WERE MARRIED!!!
Scott hung out with my grandma while I ran around doing god knows what.
It was totally freezing by the way! It went from summer to fall in ONE DAY.
My mom with all her siblings and mother.
My parents and their friends
My dad and Scott
Let the Party Begin!!
Leading up to my sisters wedding was a fun and nerve racking time.
Friday morning my parents came to my house to drop off their dog and pick me up. Scott was going to meet us in town later in the day.
We got a sneak peak of the reception hall:
We then jumped right into preparations. We had our nails done and then changed and headed to the rehearsal and dinner.
We went through the ceremony twice to make sure we all understood our roles.
Everyone was excited and nervous
We headed straight over to dinner, which was a two minute walk from the church.
I sat with my parents and grandmothers and Scott
It was nice to sit around and talk for a while.
(My mom and her mom)
My Grandmothers were having a hard time reading my candle light
Dinner was good. We went to a french restaurant which had not ONE vegetarian option. Thankfully Chris and Adele had told them about my non meat eating habits and prepared a black bean “cake” for me which was crumbly and DELICIOUS and topped with kale! I had a couple SMALL glasses of wine and was ready to pass out by the end.
Stay Tuned for THE WEDDING DAY!!
